Studio

Ironwright is a game studio now

Ironwright is now an independent game studio run by Adam Powell. Two games are in development, Earfh and The Lien, with Barrelhouse behind them. This devlog is where their progress gets written down.

Ironwright used to sell security and automation consulting to managed service providers. As of September 26, 2026 it is an independent game studio, run by Adam Powell.

Two games are in development, and a third sits behind them.

Earfh is a top-down twin-stick roguelite set in a collapsing, over-branded future. Every run is a shift. You fight through the stages, spend your wallet in the shop between them, and bank Stock, the only currency that survives your death. It is built in Godot 4.6 and aimed at Steam on PC, with Early Access as the first milestone.

The Lien is a run-based roguelike deckbuilder set on the road north out of the Mississippi Delta. Music is the magic system. Cards belong to schools such as Blues, Folk and Funk, and each school plays as its own system. It is built in Godot 4.6 with C#, for PC. Its working title, Blues Wanderer, was retired on September 16, and after ten days as Bottomland: The Lien it became plain The Lien on September 26.

Barrelhouse is an idle blues RPG for Android. You start out playing for tips in a roadhouse and end up running the place.

What goes here

Each post is drawn from a game's own record, meaning its commits, its changelog and its roadmap. Expect what landed, what is known to be broken or unfinished, and what comes next, in the words the repos already use. Every post is tagged with the game it covers, and each game's page shows its latest entries. The devlog index lists all of them, and the RSS feed at /feed.xml carries every post.

The first two entries after this one say where each headline game stands today.

The security work

The tools Ironwright built before the change, Augur, Panoptes and Axis among them, now live under Side Projects, along with the older security writing. Their pages still work at the same addresses.
